๐ OCS CON 2025: Advancing Solutions Towards Eliminating Plastic Resin Loss
Operation Clean Sweepยฎ (OCS) brought together more than 130 leaders from across the plastics value chain in Indianapolis for the second annual OCS CON โ the industry's premier forum for sharing tested strategies and innovations in preventing plastic resin loss.
Over three days, attendees joined facility tours, participated in a waterway cleanup, and attended panels, expert dialogues, and interactive discussions designed to promote collaboration, education, and continuous improvement across all segments of the plastics industry.
The conference also marked the debut of OCSโs refreshed brand and tagline โ Leading the Way in Resin Stewardship โ reinforcing the programโs leadership in responsible resin handling.
๐ฉโ๐ผ Building a More Sustainable Future: Spotlight on Braskemโs Brittany Darras
Seventeen years into her career, Brittany Darras, External Affairs & Sustainability Manager at Braskem, is helping shape the future of plastics sustainability. โMy role centers on advancing Braskemโs sustainability goals and advocating for policies that improves plastics sustainability,โ she says. โI also lead our U.S. Volunteer Program and promote local development where we operate.โ
Mentorship and purpose have guided her journey, helping her grow as both a leader and a professional. Brittany believes in the vital role plastics play in health, safety, and quality of lifeโand she remains committed to driving progress toward a more sustainable and circular future.
A four-year member of FLiP (Future Leaders in Plastics), Brittany credits the program with expanding her understanding of the plastics value chain and connecting her with peers across the industry. โItโs given me opportunities to learn, network, and gain mentors,โ she says. โI also better understand different parts of the plastics value chain beyond resin suppliers,โ she adds.
