Future Leaders in Plastics

Carry on NPE Tradition

FLiP at NPE

Thirty percent of the attendees at NPE2024 were under the age of 40, which led to a record 1,000+ for the FLiP & Sip Reception hosted by PLASTICS' Future Leaders in Plastics (FLiP) group.

Reception guests enjoyed a great evening of professional networking, food, drinks, music and games, including a trivia-based bingo game that had attendees working the room, quizzing one another and meeting colleagues from across the industry.

The success of the FLiP & Sip Reception was just one more indication that FLiP plays a vital role in the future of our entire industry.

Upcoming Opportunities

to Get Involved with FLiP

Social Media Campaign: Plastics Gives Back

Mark your calendars to participate in the first ever Plastics Gives Back social media campaign sponsored by Future Leaders in Plastics (FLiP).

On June 26, PLASTICS will digitally highlight success stories shared by member companies about community involvement and volunteering initiatives throughout social media. We'll also launch a resource called Roadmap to Community Volunteering in the Workplace to help others plan such initiatives.

How can you participate? Simply post on your social media platforms about a volunteer initiative you set up or participated in. You can also share why volunteering is important for the plastics industry and/or advice on how to make these types of events successful!

Use the hashtag #PlasticsGivesBack when you post. Tag PLASTICS as well and we'll engage with your posts!

If you have a resource or message you'd like us to share on our social platforms, email Heather Nortz at PLASTICS.

Share Learning Experiences in the FLiP Book Club

Join the FLiP Book Club to participate in leadership development discussions, get inspired by other young professionals, and learn strategies for personal/professional growth. Share your thoughts on concepts from various videos, podcasts, and books.

Register today for the next discussion. On June 7, the club will watch and discuss the TED Talk Plastics Rehab by Professor Kim Ragaert. Share your perspective on public opinions and how to respond to environmental criticism of plastics.

Meet an Impressive Trio of FLiP Members

When a company joins PLASTICS, every employee at that company becomes a PLASTICS member. Our most recent FLiP Files blog introduces you to three extraordinary young professionals from GOEX who are making the most of the opportunities offered by FLiP.
