PLASTICS has launched Positives of Plastic, a new online hub that brings together clear, science-based information about how plastics are made, why they matter, and the ways they support safety, sustainability, innovation, and everyday life.

The site features five easy-to-explore sections:

  • Plastic and the Planet

  • Powering the Economy

  • Plastic in Action

  • Points โ€” a library of shareable fact sheets and graphics

๐Ÿ›’   A Strong Start to Holiday Shopping

The holiday shopping season is off and running and early signals point to a confident consumer. But with delays in federal data releases, the full picture of retail performance is still coming into focus.

In his latest analysis, Dr. Pineda breaks down what the early trends suggest, why the headlines donโ€™t always tell the real story, and what matters most for plastics suppliers heading into Q1.

๐Ÿ”Ž What heโ€™s watching

Dr. Pineda looks beyond the usual month-to-month noise and explains how broader momentum across key retail sectors offers a clearer view of demand โ€” especially for plastics-heavy markets like packaging, appliances, and automotive.
