A team of PLASTICS members and staff gathered on February 13th in Sacramento for a productive day of meetings with California legislators, legislative staff and regulators. Chief among the subjects covered was California’s “Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act” (SB 54).
Member company representatives included team members from Amcor, Dow, ExxonMobil, Husky, Novolex, and SEE (formerly Sealed Air). PLASTICS was represented by Matt Seaholm (President/CEO), Jason Eberstein (VP, Gov. Affairs), and Kris Quigley (Regional Dir., State Gov. Affairs—West). The group reported a productive day of discussions that included visits with chief members of relevant legislative committees.
