Nominations for PLASTICS Leadership Positions Accepted Through July 12

The nominations window for PLASTICS leadership positions is now open, with nominations accepted now through July 12, 2024.

Member involvement is vitally important to PLASTICS and the leadership nomination process plays an essential role in our success. Active participation will ensure that diverse perspectives from throughout the plastics value chain are considered when important association decisions are made. During the nomination period:

  • PLASTICS’ Industry Segment Councils—Equipment, Material Suppliers, and Processors—will elect new voting members for two-year terms beginning January 1, 2025.
  • Each Industry Segment Council will elect representatives to serve on the Board of Directors for two-year terms beginning January 1, 2025.
  • The Sustainability Advisory Board (SAB) will fill seats in the Processors Industry Segment.

We urge you to give these elections serious thought and put forth individuals you feel are best suited to serve PLASTICS in leadership roles. If that person is you, please nominate yourself for consideration.

Be Part of the #PlasticsGivesBack

Social Media Campaign

On June 26, PLASTICS launched the #PlasticsGivesBack campaign. This social media initiative is rooted in the mission of our FLiP (Future Leaders in Plastics) Community Impact Task Group, which fosters community involvement among PLASTICS members.

#PlasticsGivesBack spotlights all that the industry does on behalf of local communities and offers guidance on how to make such efforts successful in the workplace. PLASTICS members can support the campaign by posting community endeavors on all social media platforms and by sharing/reposting the posts of others as positive examples to other PLASTICS members and the broader industry.

What should you post about? Spotlight volunteer efforts that you and/or PLASTICS have taken part in (e.g., Fall Meeting Cleanup, packing meals at NPE2024), or highlight meaningful community initiatives that your organization is committed to.

Please use the #PlasticsGivesBack and #PeopleofPlastics hashtags when posting.

In keeping with our PLASTICS core value of optimism, your posts should be upbeat, fun, and positive. Our industry cares about our environment and is proud to help in our communities! For questions, please reach out to Anthony DiGrado or Heather Nortz at PLASTICS.
