PLASTICS VP Makes the Case
for Plastic on D.C. Sustainability Panel
Patrick Krieger, VP of Sustainability for PLASTICS, participated this week in a panel hosted in Washington, D.C. by The Economist magazine. The subject was “Partnerships to Reach a Circular Future” and also included State Senator Mona Das (Washington) and boat-racer/environmentalist Mark Towill. Patrick reported a very interesting conversation during which he was able to make the case for both plastic as a material and the plastics industry as a major player in efforts to curb waste and increase recycling for all materials, paper and glass included. Attendees came away with an excellent grasp of how our industry intends to be a productive partner in achieving a circular economy.
