Future Leaders in Plastics (FLiP)

clean up crew

On September 19th, PLASTICS Fall Meeting attendees had a fantastic time giving back to the city of Charleston by picking up litter as well as recyclable materials. During the clean-up event coordinated by FLiP's Community Impact Task Group, 52 volunteers filled 40 trash bags amounting to about 600 pounds for disposal. Keep Charleston Beautiful was an amazing partner in helping to coordinate and host this event and PLASTICS donated $4000 to Friends of Keep Charleston Beautiful organization as a gesture of our gratitude. Heartfelt thanks to the partners who made the event possible:

The OCS Blue Verification program is an external inspection program that adds rigor and transparency to OCS Blue participation by verifying that 29 required management practices have been successfully implemented in each facility to prevent plastic resin loss.
